Why the grocery list is grouped by aisle
Writing items where you’ll find them turns a 40-minute wander into a single lap of the store. The template’s list column follows the walk: produce first, meat and fish, dairy, bakery and grains, pantry, frozen. The budget line at the bottom is the habit that keeps the week honest — decide the number before you shop, then plan dinners that fit it.
Questions people ask
Is the weekly meal planner template free to print?
Yes. Print it straight from this page, or download the PDF. No email, no watermark, letter and A4 both fit.
Does the template have a grocery list section?
Yes — the right-hand column is the grocery list, grouped by aisle so you write items where you will find them in the store, plus a budget line at the bottom.
How do I use a weekly meal planner?
Fill the dinners first (they drive the shopping), then lunches and breakfasts if you plan them. Mark one or two “cook once, eat twice” nights, write the grocery list from the dinners, and set a budget for the week before you shop.
Can I get the plan filled in for me?
Use the free Meal Plan Generator on this site for a week of real dinners with a priced list, or the Mittsy app, which plans the week around your budget and store and keeps the list on your phone.
